News about Michael Keating and Tellynation

Here is some news from the Horizon Club about Michael Keating and a new UK con called Tellynation. All of their previous newsletters are archived at their B7 yahoo news group.

EASTENDERS: Don't miss Michael's next EastEnders appearance this Tuesday 22nd March on BBC1, later the same night on BBC 3 and repeated on BBC 1 in the Sunday omnibus next Sunday 26th March. Sorry if we'd given you the wrong date for his previous appearance (we said 10th March, but it was actually 8th March - if it's any consolation, Michael missed it too, as the BBC had given him the wrong date.) His character Rev. Stevens is again officiating at a funeral so I'm guessing it's the episode airing Tues. 22nd March.

TELLYNATION: Michael has also just confirmed an appearance at a new convention for 2006 from Vortex Events.

Tellynation runs from 31st March - 2nd April 2006 at the Hilton Hotel, Swindon, Wiltshire, UK Apart from Michael, other guests of honour so far are: Francis Matthews (the original Captain Scarlet), Paul Temple, Jonathan Creek; Burt Kwouk (Pink Panther Films, Tenko, Last of The Summer Wine) and guest MC Paul Cornell (writer, Doctor Who, Casualty). All guests are subject to work and personal commitments. Lots more guests to be announced.

Vortex Events have been running TV appreciation events for over 10 years and pleased to announce this new weekend convention for 2006. The event will run from Friday evening until the early hours of the Monday morning and will celebrate a wide range of television programmes of all eras, past and present. The convention will be supporting Cancer Research UK.

As well as guests the event will also feature autographs and interviews, workshops, quizzes & games, 3 nights of parties and cabaret plus Saturday night 'posh frocks' banquet and Sunday night reception & buffet. All for an inclusive weekend price of £95 per adult, or £40 per child, which includes the Saturday Banquet and Sunday reception & buffet. Under 5s come for free. Accommodation costs extra and is available at a rate of £30 per person, per night, bed and breakfast, based on two people sharing.

Further details including information on how to book and full terms and conditions are available at the Vortex Events and TellyNation websites.

Michael Keating fans should take a look at the Vortex Events website as they have a lovely pic of Michael plus the other guests. Oh and snowgrouse, I see they're running a Robin of Sherwood con next year too.
