SF and politics

There's a post on nz_fandom referring to an article in which it is posited that one's preference for Isaac Asimov or Robert Heinlein when first getting into SF has a strong correlation to one's political leaning in later life (liberal or conservative respectively). I much preferred Asimov and I'm definitely left-wing. So here's my first poll.

Poll #692655 SF and politics

Which author did you prefer and what are your leanings now?

Asimov; liberal / socialist / left wing
7(46.7%)
Heinlein; liberal / socialist / left wing
4(26.7%)
Asimov; conservative / right wing
0(0.0%)
Heinlein; conservative / right wing
0(0.0%)
None of the above
4(26.7%)
