And that was excellent

I'm back from the end-of-year dinner (with both eyes still the same size, note, crycraven ;-) ) which is a wonder considering they constantly topped up our wine glasses so I have no idea how much I drank. However I have a sip of water for each sip of wine and that works pretty well for me.

Anyway, the wine was good, the conversation was fun (this year I managed to avoid the bores and sat opposite a guy I worked with years ago and his wife whom I've known almost as long, and a colleague of Greg's who lives near us and I also know, and we had a great time. The food was excellent; it turns out that everyone was very unimpressed with last year's dinner and two of the employees chose a menu and presented it to management as a fait accompli. I had the vegetarian options for entrée (crumbed goat cheese) and main (involtini di risotto) and a delicious freshly-baked chocolate tart for dessert. Win!

I'm very glad I decided to go.

And now I'm off to bed.
